What makes them?
They both have a good grip on psychology, people and the way of the world through current affairs. Differing approaches could make for solid career prospects and problem-solving together.
What breaks them?
For all their powers in overcoming outside challenges, the hardest problems will be their own. There is a wealth of miscommunication here, differing priorities for their life plans and it won’t be an easily workable relationship should they be of similar age.
Can it work?
It’s a 50/50 situation. When it fails, it could leave a lot of unspoken bitterness. When it works, the progression definitely rewards both lovers.
It is easy to see where Virgo Woman and Sagittarius Man would take their early chemistry to the next step, as both have enough insight into people to talk though their respective stories until the sun comes back up. Virgo female’s prior brushes with romance tend to be a little more on the quality side, rather than Sagittarius’ quantity, but they both share an upward looking attitude to life that convinces them to try and build over their differences.
Sagittarius will want to know why a woman as together as Virgo seems to internalize emotion on the same scale as she exudes confidence. Virgo takes a reasoned approach to her interest in Sagittarius male: he’s confident, he’s not short of places to go and his friends speak well of Sagittarius…and so she tells herself he can’t be a complete disaster!
She is largely correct in her assertions (as always) since Sagittarius’ concern with sharing positive emotions and spiritual growth often makes him a credit to his friends and family, but it is exactly this smiling assassin approach that will blind Virgo and Sagittarius to the inevitable disappointments down the line.
As their romance progresses, both wait it out to see if the other will make adjustments for the sake of some semblance of trust between them. The odds are slim since Sagittarius is naturally intrigued by what’s possible whereas Virgo restrains her ambitions to what is achievable.
It can seem like only a slight difference in the detail of their shared optimism, but leads to some pretty harsh accusations from Sagittarius towards his Virgo lover of materialism, self-interest and generally being the ball-and-chain of their union. His behaviour arises because Sagittarius is genuinely distraught and fears commitment goes hand-in-hand with sacrificing his freedom.
Over time, these two will see their well-wishes were genuine and never involved any deception but it may be in wishing each other farewell, rather than talking through staying together. Virgo has always had a head-strong plan for her family life and domestic provisions, whereas Sagittarius is more likely to conveniently forget a few anniversaries and after-work meetings if a new opportunity for adventure lands on his lap.
There is sufficient reason for these two to compromise, as Virgo makes an excellent support system to adopt around any of her lover’s problems. Sagittarius cannot deny that his Virgo usually has a practical answer to any challenge, as long as it doesn’t directly relate to their relationship. Their intimacy and lovemaking is compensation for such difficult verbal communication, as neither sign has any particular desire to complicate what is a straightforward physical attraction. Their increasing tenderness in bed heats up a deepening bond.
Concerning affairs of the heart, she might give him a stay of execution to get his head in the game and commit. Nevertheless, a young Sagittarius and a young Virgo in romance often gives birth to the notion of “that first boyfriend” who up and left, leaving the woman feeling slighted at perceived ingratitude and ungratefulness. Virgo is fairly discriminatory before ever getting involved (especially sexually) with a love interest so, once she has crossed that intimacy threshold, she does not know any other way than to put 110% support and effort into the relationship.
If they call it quits, time will be needed for them to resolve the lingering bitterness apart. Sagittarius is open to listening to Virgo’s grievances but simply lacks adequate answers and Virgo, as ever, internalizes her disappointment before they both move on.
Nevertheless, for the Virgo Woman and Sagittarius Man that do use time and experience to give it a real shot, they have a diverse amount of territory conquered between their respect natures (he takes care of the outside world where she has every internal issue figured) for their relationship to progress onto very solid marriage material.
